Mulat became Managing Director of the Evelyn Oldfield Unit in June 2008.
His previous experience within community development over the past two decades has included being Manager of the Refugee, Advice and Support Centre in West London and a non-executive Director of Hammersmith & Fulham NHS. Mulat has also held several Trustee and Committee roles with organisations including Voluntary Action Islington and London Communities Policing.
His main areas of expertise is leadership, management, quality assurance, community development and international relations. He is passionate about the power of people and organisations to make a positive impact on poverty and inequality.
Latefa Narriman Guemar

Dr Latefa Narriman Guemar is the tutor and leader for the EOU’s Research for Action and Influence course. Latefa has a PhD with key interests in gender and migration, diaspora and forced migration. She is experienced in teaching adult, graduates and postgraduates. She has proven experience in qualitative, action and participatory research with migrants, including ethnographic methodology.

Amy coordinates the e3 English language project at the EOU. She is an experienced EFL (English as a Foreign Language) teacher and has taught adults and children both domestically and abroad, including for the British Council Comenius programme. Amy studied Arabic and French at the University of Edinburgh and prior to joining the EOU, she worked with young people with learning disabilities, helping them to develop independence skills. She is passionate about enabling people from all kinds of backgrounds to be a part of a community and access services and opportunities.

Charlie studied International Relations at university. She worked for 4 years with a local charity as an Advice & Guidance Programme Lead before joining the Evelyn Oldfield Unit. She speaks French and Spanish and is passionate about enabling local people to achieve their potential.
